We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst contractor to join our technology team for a significant project with one of our clients, a leading mining company in Perth known for its innovative approach to practical applications. This role involves integrating a diverse range of advanced technologies, including Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), Networks, Digital Infrastructure, Machine Learning, and API development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business analysis, with expertise in gathering and documenting requirements across multiple technological domains. Your work will ensure that the project aligns with strategic objectives and is executed with precision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with diverse teams, including IIoT, Networks, Digital Infrastructure, Digital Software, Machine Learning, and API Integration, to gather detailed business and technical requirements for a major integration project.
- Analyse and document these requirements to develop a cohesive software solution that addresses the needs of all stakeholders within the mining operations.
- Work closely with the technology team to ensure the project aligns with the company’s strategic objectives and is executed efficiently.
- Update and maintain project documentation, ensuring it meets company standards and supports seamless project delivery.
- Drive the transition of the project from development through to operational readiness, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation.
- Develop and present business cases to support project goals and secure necessary approvals.
- Monitor project progress and performance through reports, ensuring that integration efforts meet predefined targets.
- Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in mining and related fields to provide relevant insights and recommendations.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within technology-driven projects.
- Strong understanding of mining operations and industry-specific terminologies.
- Expertise in gathering and documenting requirements for complex, multi-disciplinary projects involving IIoT, Networks, Digital Infrastructure, Machine Learning, and API Integration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex business needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Proficiency in project management and documentation tools such as Confluence, Jira, or similar.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of working effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
