We are seeking an experienced Change Management Officer for our client.
Position Purpose:
The Change Management Officer role is responsible for the delivery of, and management of change, supporting the effective delivery of organisational and business change, procedural improvement and reporting. This role is crucial in supporting the objectives and outcomes of the OCIO.
Duties:
The role is based in Geelong, VIC or Greenway, ACT. The contract is for 12 months with estimated start of late August. There is a 1 x 12-month extension option.
Security Requirements:
Due to the nature of the work required, applicants must be Australia Citizens and have the ability to obtain a national police clearance.

Position Purpose:
The Change Management Officer role is responsible for the delivery of, and management of change, supporting the effective delivery of organisational and business change, procedural improvement and reporting. This role is crucial in supporting the objectives and outcomes of the OCIO.
Duties:
- obtaining assurance that the delivery of new capability is compatible with the realisation of benefits, the ICT Strategy and the Corporate Plan
- ensure that the work of the change programme, including the scope of each change, covers the necessary aspects required to deliver the outcomes that will lead to operational benefits
- working with the business to identify change/projects that will contribute to realising benefits and achieving outcomes
- identifying, defining and tracking the benefits and outcomes required of the change
- ensuring that maximum improvements are made in existing and new business operations as groups of projects deliver their products into operational use
- leading the activities associated with benefits realisation and ensuring that continued accrual of benefits can be achieved and measured after the programme has been completed
- taking the lead on transition management, ensuring that business as usual is maintained during the transition and the changes are effectively integrated into the business
- preparing affected business areas for transition to new ways of working
- optimising the timing of the release of project deliverables into business operations
- Experience in business change management
- Experience as a Project Manager or Project Support Officer
- Understanding of risk management principles and associated methodologies
- Proven ability to make sound pragmatic decisions and judgements under tight timelines.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to influence and drive change in a collaborative way both internally and externally.
- Knowledge of the Jira and Confluence products would be advantageous.
- Strong written communications skills.
