The Digital Policy Specialist will play a pivotal role within the department's team, tasked with supporting the alignment of digital and data strategies with policy and regulatory reforms.
Priority Core Capabilities
- Digital policy: Experience in policy reform required to enable digital transformation is essential to evaluate and align potential initiatives with digital strategies, including integration and interdependencies.
- Digital literacy: Critical for understanding and advising on digital architecture requirements, leveraging digital tools and platforms to enhance policy development, implementation and continuous improvement.
- Strategic and critical thinking: Essential to analyse current and future STS reform initiatives, ensuring digital solutions are evidence-based, well-informed and contribute to the strategic objectives of the reform.
- Communicates and negotiates with influence: Important to articulate digital policy strategies and convince stakeholders of their value, ensuring alignment with government trade and investment priorities.
- Stakeholder engagement: Vital to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners and technology experts, to gather insights and support for digital reform initiatives.
- Qualifications: Qualifications in ICT, digital and/or public policy or a related field would be beneficial but not essential.
