The Role:
As an Enterprise Resource Management Program Manager, you’ll be a leader responsible for development and delivery of a large multi-faceted program in a complex environment. You will provide strategic direction and operational support and reporting, including risk, issue and dependency management as well as vendor management. You will contribute to ideas and activities to improve the overall program delivery and support transition to operations.
You will be an outward-focused leader who engages across the organisation and builds strategic partnerships with impacted stakeholders and delivery partners. You will guide and mentor your team, building capability in best practice program delivery and management.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Experienced in leading large and complex IT program delivery through the delivery lifecycle in a highly integrated environment
• Provide authoritative and expert advice and deliver results with a significant degree of independence within a framework of Department policies, priorities, objectives and strategy
• Advanced communication and negotiation skills and ability to articulate complex information appropriately to senior executives and business partners to influence outcomes
• Fosters and maintains relationships with senior executives and internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations and achieve successful program outcomes
• Extensive experience in leading effective, blended teams in a multi-vendor environment while providing the key link between senior executives and these teams
• A people leader who uses their expertise to manage, mentor and set the strategic direction of a team while building staff capability and creating a positive culture
• Ability to represent the Department at senior leadership meetings and liaise on behalf of the Department on significant, complex or technical issues with incumbent service providers, external practitioners, industry representatives and government agencies.
• Lead and be accountable for planning, organising and managing allocated resources, program financials, setting work area priorities, managing complex projects and workflows, developing strategies, managing risks and dependencies across multiple projects and evaluating project and business outcomes and delivery.
• Set the overall direction, and frequently solve new and complex problems, particularly with reference to stakeholder negotiations and issue resolution.
• Actively participate in knowledge/skills transfer activities with Department staff.
Location and Contract Term: This role is based in Multiple locations. 12 month contract with 3 x 12-month extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens. A Baseline security clearance is preferred or the ability to obtain and maintain.
