Responsibilities: Assisting in the development of clear and accurate position descriptions, in line with APS Work Level Standards and classification guidance.
- Creating, overseeing and updating of vacancies on internal systems
- Coordinating and maintaining individual recruitment plans, including tracking timelines and milestone progress.
- Pre-screening applications and resumes against eligibility and suitability criteria to make recommendations
- Preparing and managing recruitment documentation, including selection reports, interview packs and candidate correspondence.
- Managing and maintaining internal filing systems, ensuring records are accurate and accessible in accordance with information management standards.
- Performing scribing duties during interviews and selection panels, ensuring notes and outcomes are consistent with APS merit-based recruitment principles.
- Collating and formatting interview feedback and coordinating referee checks in a confidential and timely manner.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders across branches and supporting external recruitment engagements and coordination.
- Delivering basic training or on boarding support related to recruitment tools, procedures, or policy compliance for all staff.
- Supporting the team with a range of general administrative tasks, including meeting coordination, tracking deliverables, and reporting.
- Experience in recruitment or human resources support within a government or corporate setting. Prior experience in the Australian Public Service is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to produce accurate and professional documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with staff and stakeholders at all levels.
- High level of organisation and time management, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and sound judgment.
