Our client, a Government Department has the requirement for an ICT Delivery Manager to manage the delivery of upcoming FY22/23 projects.
The role will be responsible for: Managing the delivery of departmental project(s) following the department’s project management methodologies (such as Prince2, Agile, SAFe, hybrid). Managing a multi-disciplinary project team, third party vendors, and/or other departmental teams to plan, manage, and deliver projects within scope, timeframe, and budget. Consult with project members and key stakeholders to develop key project governance artefacts such as project plans, scope, timeframes, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies. Liaise with ICT teams and vendors to ensure alignment and management of dependencies. Deliver high-quality reports, business cases, project artefacts and other documentation for diverse stakeholders such as project boards, steering committees, and Senior Executives. Ensure compliance with the relevant governance arrangements associated with delivery of the department’s ICT projects. Commit to being an active member of the Project Management Competency to execute the organisation’s ICT Strategy.

This long-term contract opportunity will commence in early June 2022 with an initial contract period of 12 months, and the option of 2 x 12-month extension options.
Positions are based out of our Canberra offices. Depending on project requirements, remote working may be considered for the right candidate. Should remote working be approved, there may be a requirement to travel to Canberra on occasion.

As the successful candidate you will have:
- Extensive experience working in Federal Government agencies managing the delivery of large and/or complex ICT projects
- Demonstrated experience leading medium to large multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating with external vendors.
- Ability to adapt to and work across various delivery methodologies (such as waterfall, Agile, hybrid).
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing high-quality project artefacts within tight deadlines.
- Sound analytical and critical thinking skills with a demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, critically assess information, and clearly present options/solutions to diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical and/or complex concepts via presentations, documentation, and diagrams in a business-ready format.
- Ability to work under pressure with close attention to detail and manage competing requirements/workloads to meet deadlines. Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in delivering technology, application, and/or infrastructure projects.
- Must hold a current ASGVA Baseline clearance (at minimum).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Federal Government agencies managing the delivery of large and/or complex ICT projects.
- Ability to adapt to and work across various delivery methodologies (such as waterfall, Agile, hybrid).
- Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams including partnering with multiple vendors to deliver outcomes within timeframes.
- Strong governance experience with ability to prepare program artefacts and present information in a business-ready format.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and mature project artefacts such as project plans, scope, timeframes, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Demonstrated ability to present material to diverse stakeholders, including business and Senior Executives.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, critically assess information, and develop sound options/solutions to achieve delivery outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate technical and/or complex concepts via presentations, documentation, and diagrams in a business-ready format.
- Demonstrated personal resilience and proven ability to manage conflicting priorities to successfully deliver under pressure.
Desirable Criteria:
- Qualifications and/or Certification in SAFe Agile, Scrum Master, and/or project management.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
