Seeking a ICT Strategic Talent Lead with experience in delivering positive results with time restraints and competing priorities
Purpose of the role
The Strategic Talent Lead will be a part of the IT Business Management Capability in the IT PMO. This role is to assist in the strategic recruitment, retention, identification of needs, and performance management of capability in the CIOD. This position will currently report to the Director, IT PMO.
Key position responsibilities
Role will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Security Required: Baseline Security Clearance required and also a character clearance, including a police check.
Location - Canberra based.

Purpose of the role
The Strategic Talent Lead will be a part of the IT Business Management Capability in the IT PMO. This role is to assist in the strategic recruitment, retention, identification of needs, and performance management of capability in the CIOD. This position will currently report to the Director, IT PMO.
Key position responsibilities
Role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Build relationships with stakeholders to understand the remit of the sections within the division and drive the performance management and talent identification strategies of the division
- Identify, prioritise and build organisational capabilities, behaviours, structures and processes toward strategic talent identification and maintenance based on best practice
- Lead the talent management and development plans for the division with a focus on enhancing the quality of leaders and managers, building skills and capabilities of the workforce, and looking at succession planning.
- Diagnose gaps between current and desired organisation performance and look to resolve gaps, including organisation redesign, process change, coaching and training.
- Analyse workforce trends to model and forecast future labour requirements to support senior leaders in workforce planning and succession planning.
- Assist business leaders and stakeholders to create development programs for ICT and digital roles such as Product Owner, and Senior Responsible Owner
- Identify and drive the sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Align performance management and reward strategies to reinforce an environment of dedication and innovation with and across business units.
- Coach senior leaders to improve leadership abilities, relationships among teams/individuals and interpersonal communications, as well as deliver effective performance feedback.
- Work with the Enterprise Transformation Group’s Talent team as required
- Additional duties as directed by the Director, ITPMO
Mandatory
- Experience with and understanding of the policies and guidelines relating to talent management and recruitment;
- Demonstrated experience in talent management;
- Knowledge and experience in successfully managing risk, including the development of labour hire appropriate risk assessments;
- Demonstrated experience in delivering positive results with time restraints and competing priorities;
- Proven ability to communicate effectively and navigate complex stakeholder relationships; and
- Demonstrated personal drive and integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and budget parameters.
- Relevant qualifications and / or industry certification. For example, Diploma of Government and/or Certificate IV in Government (Talent Management, Recruitment, etc) or equivalent.
