Overview:
Our large Federal Government client has a requirement for an ICT Technical Specialist (level 5) who has extensive ICT Security knowledge and technical skills in relation to audit logging collection, normalisation and policy.

Contract term: 12 months with 2x12 month extensions
Location: Canberra, ACT
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: To be eligible, you must be an Australian Citizen and hold current Positive Vetting (TSPV) minimum security clearance.

Skills and Knowledge:
- Database administration experience including Elasticsearch.
- Experience with configuration and management of VMWare vSphere and/or Hyper-V virtualisation environments.
- Experience with network attached storage appliances including NetApp systems.
- Network infrastructure configuration including firewall and switch management.
- Security application sustainment support experience including Nuix, Splunk or Stroom.
- Extensive experience with ICT system administration and development to provide SME advice and support to ITIS analysts and management.
- Red Hat Linux, Kubernetes, Docker experience is also desirable.
- Create, maintain and upgrade governance documentation suites relating to data, application, system and security administration.
Role Requirements:
- Build, and deploy changes to Linux and Windows environment infrastructure, following best practice to provide security, maintain uptime and optimise cost.
- Contribute to automation for environment provisioning and application deployments.
- Maintain monitoring and metrics infrastructure to provide visibility into system and application state.
- Contribute to routine system maintenance, including patching, upgrades and deployments.
- Participate in trouble shooting application performance issues as required, assisting development teams by identifying root causes or bottlenecks.
