The Role:
The SharePoint Specialist will take responsibility for all aspects of the design, development, deployment, operations, administration, training and support of key SharePoint on-premise and SharePoint Online infrastructure and business solutions. Their expertise will be required during creation of an on-premise SharePoint 2016 instance and the subseqeunt migration from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2016 utilitsing ShareGate migration tool.
Skills and Experience Required:
• Demonstrate extensive technical experience with Microsoft SharePoint and building solutions for on-Premises SharePoint and SharePoint Online.
• Extensive experience with general and SharePoint web development and web programming client-side technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SharePoint CSOM and consuming web services (REST and SOAP).
• Experience developing and integrating reusable client-side components.
• Extensive client-side web development and using web services (for both SharePoint and non-SharePoint websites).
• Experience developing and installing SharePoint server-side componentry is an advantage.
• Experience configuring and enhancing search in SharePoint, as well as working with business to determine requirements and design search outcomes.
• Extensive experience writing PowerShell scripts as well as using PowerShell for administering and manipulating SharePoint on both server and client-side.
• Previous experience providing detailed, high quality documentation at appropriate level to allow for maintenance and extension of the SharePoint application.
• Knowledge of SharePoint system architecture and the object model.
• Knowledge and experience with add-ins in SharePoint.
• Proven experience in web content management and information architecture using SharePoint technologies with the view to implementing a hybrid online instance in the future
• Deep knowledge of all out-of-the-box SharePoint features & configurations, and have experience with assisting business groups to organize their SharePoint site content.
• Experience in migrating large amounts of content between SharePoint Environments
Location and Contract Term: This is a Canberra based role. July start date and a 12 month contract
