About the Role
Our client, focused on National Security, is seeking a Network Security Engineer with a current Negative Vetting Level 1 or above security clearance. for a 12-month contract (with extension options) to be based in Canberra (ACT), Adelaide (SA), and Melbourne (VIC).
The successful candidate will work as a Network Security Engineer to plan, implement and operate network service/systems, to include hardware and virtual environments. They test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices, provide feedback on network requirements, including network architecture and infrastructure. They assess complex information systems utilising a range of contemporary security frameworks, toolsets, and knowledge of malicious actor techniques, tools and processes.

Key duties:
- Assess a wide range of network systems and configurations for cyber security issues
- Conduct workshops, run assessment tooling and view system documentation and configurations
- Provide detailed recommendations and advice to improve the cyber security of a network.
