Primary purpose of the role
The Project Officer performs project management and support activities to deliver projects to develop, implement, and evaluate policies.
Key accountabilities
- Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparing reports and briefs, coordinating resources, creating, updating, and implementing project documentation including project plans to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with the Project Management Framework
- Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes including change management, communications, and benefits realisation approaches.
- Support the Senior Policy Officer with the development, implementation, and evaluation of the screening policies in line with the Policy Framework
- Support the Senior Policy Officer with the development, implementation, and evaluation of adequate health assessor resourcing and pathology provider contribution for the regulation of health practitioner with impairment.
- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion.
- Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging project issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
- Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning.
- Working collaboratively with other teams to collate, analyse, and act on lessons learned from other projects

- Delivering a range of project management and support services, within tight deadlines, limited resources and while managing competing priorities.
- Maintaining effective relationships with varied stakeholders.
