About the role:
We are seeking a Consultant specialising in SAP BASIS with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan). The successful candidate will lead BASIS operations, implement lifecycle management tools, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver tailored infrastructure solutions. This is a hands-on, client-facing role requiring deep technical expertise and strong communication skills.

About the role:
We are seeking a Consultant specialising in SAP BASIS with SAP Solution Manager (SolMan). The successful candidate will lead BASIS operations, implement lifecycle management tools, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver tailored infrastructure solutions. This is a hands-on, client-facing role requiring deep technical expertise and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert consulting in SAP BASIS administration and SAP Solution Manager configuration.
- Lead system installations, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning across SAP landscapes.
- Configure and manage SolMan functionalities including CHARM, System Monitoring, and Solution Documentation.
- Collaborate with clients to understand infrastructure needs and design scalable, secure solutions.
- Conduct training and knowledge-sharing workshops for clients and internal teams.
- Stay current with SAP BASIS and SolMan best practices and roadmap developments.
- Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Support project bids and proposals with technical input and estimates.
Technical Skills:
- Minimum 7+ years in SAP BASIS consulting, including hands-on experience with SAP Solution Manager.
- Strong understanding of SAP NetWeaver architecture, kernel upgrades, and transport management.
- Experience with SolMan 7.2 including CHARM, Technical Monitoring, and LMDB.
- Proficiency in SAP HANA, S/4HANA, and cloud-based SAP deployments.
- Familiarity with system copies, backup strategies, and high availability configurations.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Baseline security clearance required; NV1 eligibility essential.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- SAP BASIS or SolMan certifications.
- Experience with SAP Cloud ALM or hybrid SAP environments.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and integration with SAP operations.
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
