About the role:
We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Architect with deep expertise in SAP BODS and SAP IS-U. The successful candidate will lead the design and execution of end-to-end data migration strategies, ensuring data quality, compliance, and alignment with business processes. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate across functional and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
This is a 12-month contract based in Melbourne, commencing as soon as available. You’ll play a pivotal role in a high-impact SAP transformation program, shaping the data migration strategy and ensuring successful delivery.

We are seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Architect with deep expertise in SAP BODS and SAP IS-U. The successful candidate will lead the design and execution of end-to-end data migration strategies, ensuring data quality, compliance, and alignment with business processes. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical skills and the ability to collaborate across functional and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of SAP IS-U data migration strategies and plans.
- Architect and implement data migration solutions using SAP BODS and related tools.
- Define data mapping and transformation rules in collaboration with functional and technical teams.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through reconciliation and validation processes.
- Develop and maintain migration documentation including data models, mapping specs, and test plans.
- Manage data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading across systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data migration teams.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with data migration activities.
- Support cutover planning and execution for migration phases.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
- 15+ years of experience in data architecture, migration, and management.
- Proven track record in at least 3 successful SAP IS-U data migration projects.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services).
- Deep understanding of SAP IS-U data structures and business processes.
- Proficiency in data mapping, transformation logic, and reconciliation techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Experience with utilities industry data and regulatory requirements.
