About the Role
Seeking a Security Architect to deliver tailored technical advice for priority ICT projects undertaken across the Australian Government, with a focus on uplifting the cybersecurity posture and quality of security architecture across government.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering innovative technology solutions, with responsibilities spanning from project planning and reporting to stakeholder engagement and configuration control. The role is based in Canberra and offers a 12-month contract with two possible 12-month extensions.

Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus 2x 12 month potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4/5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered along with NV1 and NV2 Security Clearance . A OSA (Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.

The Successful Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly organised and outcome-driven professional with strong communication and problem-solving skills. You will have:
- Holds a Degree in computer science or other relevant field.
- Experience developing and applying security architecture best practices to enterprise and bespoke ICT systems to achieve capability outcomes with proportionate security assurance.
- Experience providing tailored and robust ICT security advice to technical & project staff
- A current or reactivatable TSPV clearance is preferred, however NV1 or NV2 will be considered.
- Candidates with a Defence-recognised Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) are highly preferred.
