About the role
The Senior Devops Engineer will be responsible for the provision, automation, and support of the Departments cloud capabilities, with a strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps practices, and Terraform-based deployments. The role will primarily support Azure, Microsoft M365, with a focus on aligning implementations with the ACSC Essential 8 security strategies.

About the role
The Senior Devops Engineer will be responsible for the provision, automation, and support of the Departments cloud capabilities, with a strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps practices, and Terraform-based deployments. The role will primarily support Azure, Microsoft M365, with a focus on aligning implementations with the ACSC Essential 8 security strategies.
Role Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain automated cloud infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools.
- Provide technical expertise to ensure the reliable operation and scalability of cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure cloud solutions meet current and future business requirements.
- Lead DevOps initiatives including CI/CD pipeline development, configuration management, and environment provisioning.
- Demonstrated contemporary broad cloud domain knowledge and technical skills
- Demonstrated experience delivering and supporting enterprise cloud environments, with a focus on automation, scalability, and operational resilience across Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms.
- Extensive experience in cloud-native DevOps, including the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation using Terraform, and managing version-controlled cloud environments.
