Senior Gateway Engineer
APS Equivalent Level: EL1
Security Clearance required: Must a Negative Vetting Level 1
Contract Length: 12 months + 2x 12 month extensions
Location: ACT, QLD, SA, VIC

Our goverment client is seeking a Senior Gateway Engineer with in-depth knowledge of specific ICT Platforms to provide expert advice on the management and maintenance of those platforms.
They work closely with key third party suppliers to ensure the provision of a robust gateway infrastructure capability for the business and liaise with architecture and shared services areas to ensure the security of the day-to-day technical operations. Senior Gateway Engineers exercise a considerable degree of independence, with decision-making substantially dependent on their high-level judgement and consideration of wider agency implications, with work being performed under the general guidance of senior staff.
Key duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Manage infrastructure requirements to meet future infrastructure demand.
• Manage the provision of infrastructure related operational support for hardware, software and other assets.
• Manage the prioritisation and escalation of infrastructure issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Communicate the end-to-end implications of configuration changes.
• Analyse the quality of requests for change management.
• Provide detailed, specialist technical advice, including strategic advice to the senior executive where appropriate.
• Proactively share knowledge and expertise as the subject matter expert, and provide assistance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues.
