About the role:
As a Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining secure, scalable, and efficient web applications that contribute to the organisation's goals. You will play a key role in designing and implementing user-facing components and developing scalable APIs while ensuring they align with agile principles, industry standards, and software lifecycle practices.
Key responsibilities will include:
Experience with NodeJS: Proficient in working with NodeJS to support front-end and back-end integration.
Agile Experience: Hands-on experience working within agile development environments.
Software Lifecycle Expertise: Knowledge of secure software lifecycle practices, including development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Frameworks & Standards: Familiarity with industry frameworks (such as ITIL or similar) to guide development improvements.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, along with an ability to resolve technical issues.
Communication Skills: Effective communication and collaboration skills, working independently or within a team.
The successful candidate:
4+ years of experience in front-end development using Java, JavaScript, Angular, React, HTML, and CSS.
Has Experience working in government or public sector environments.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and how to apply them in front-end development.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
What's on offer?
This contract is available for an initial 12 month term with extension options.
This role can be performed from Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne
Security Clearance
Candidates must be an Australian citizen and hold a Baseline or NV1 security clearance.
