Our client is seeking a Technical Business Analyst in Sydney, Australia.
Role Overview: Assist in analysing, developing, and delivering technical solutions, focusing on data to solve business problems within a project environment.
Essential Skills:
- Experienced Technical Business Analyst with a disciplined background.
- Substantial experience, preferably with some data analysis.
- Practical expertise in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Experience in data-heavy, complex system integration projects, including migrations.
- Banking and Financial Services industry experience is highly advantageous.
- Document application strategy, project scope, and business requirements.
- Facilitate project scope, functional, data, and solution definition workshops.
- Lead Agile ceremonies: grooming sessions, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Analyse complex data patterns from various technology sources.
- Gather, manipulate, and document data flows for system designers, developers, testers, and stakeholders.
- Focus on data mapping and data definition across system components.
- Review and provide feedback on business and technical documentation.
- Support requirements through design, development, testing, and implementation phases.
- At least 5 years’ experience in Business Analysis, Technical Analysis, and Data Analysis.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business/Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Process analysis and re-engineering experience.
- Data analysis and data migration experience.
- Systems integration and migration experience with various integration technologies.
- Practical experience in delivering Agile and Waterfall projects.
- Strong understanding of technology and business systems.
- At least 2 years’ financial services experience.
- SQL skills are highly beneficial.
- Excellent communication, analysis, and documentation skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to deliver in a team-based, complex environment.
- Sydney-based role.
- Initial 12-month contract with two 6-month extension options.
- Full Australian work rights required.
