Job Description

The Role:
Provision of a Business Analyst to capture and document detailed
requirements for the Database for the Department.
1. Document the committee transactional services end to end
processes and identify process weaknesses and pain
2. Document reporting requirements for appointments and
committee support;
3. Identify and document service delivery model and high
level requirements for transactional services that align
with standard payroll and travel services, and Whole of
Australian Government Shared Services processes;
4. Identify possible technology solutions to deliver
transactional services and improvement reporting using
the Departments existing systems; and
5. Other duties as required.

Skills and Experience Required:
  • Experience as a Business Analyst; and
  • Experience in producing high quality project artefacts.
Highly regarded:
  • Experience in financial systems and risk analysis and
  • modelling;
  • Proficiency in use of Visio and/or other visual modelling tools;
  • Understanding and knowledge of working with data sources from various systems / formats, and visual modelling;
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and oral with various stakeholders at all levels;
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills;
  • Ability to meet timeframes and manage competing priorities; and
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) qualification.
Contract Term - Immediate start and contract till 30 June 2019. 1 x 3 month contract extension option pending budget and delegate approval
