Our large government client is seeking a Business Analyst who will be responsible for providing extensive coordination and guidance to the project team on methods, processes, practices, lessons learned and risk mitigation for the development of their project.
This position is responsible for the elicitation of business and technical requirements and the modelling of new and existing business processes to inform capability requirements and development, and solution design.
Skills and Knowledge:
Contract terms: 12 months
Extension options: 2 x 12-month period at the discretion of the Commonwealth.
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.

Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- A sound understanding of space-based intelligence systems is highly desirable.
- In collaboration with the project team, gather, document, communicate and manage technical and capability requirements from key stakeholders.
- Use knowledge of data, systems, and their intersections to provide information from the most applicable data source/s in response to standard or ad hoc requests in support of program goals and objectives as well as in support of capability development and strategic guidance.
- Model complex technical and business processes.
- Provide advice on complex systems design, incorporating customer needs and knowledge of parallel, ongoing projects into analysis for the project team. Analyse data in order to draw conclusions and identify cause and effect relationships to support leadership decisions, recommend a course of action, or solve issues.
