About the Role
As a Commercial Project Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of complex ICT projects within a technical program environment. Working under limited direction, you will manage procurement, finance, asset documentation, and general project administration. This includes supporting contract management, risk tracking, scheduling, and resource coordination.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team delivering innovative technology solutions, with responsibilities spanning from project planning and reporting to stakeholder engagement and configuration control. The role is based in Canberra and offers a 12-month contract with two possible 12-month extensions.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus 2x 12 month potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered. A OSA (Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.

The Successful Candidate

- Demonstrated experience supporting complex ICT projects.
- Familiarity with Defence financial systems and procurement processes.
- Strong organisational and administrative capabilities.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- A current or reactivatable TSPV clearance is essential.
- Candidates with a Defence-recognised Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) are highly preferred.
