We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our data systems. This role involves developing automated solutions, monitoring performance, and solving complex database issues to maintain efficient, secure, and optimized data environments.
Duties
The contract period is 12 months, with possible extension options. This position is based in Canberra, ACT.
Security Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold current NV1 Security Clearance, and have the ability to obtain and Maintain a TSPV, and undergo an OSA.

Duties
- Develop and configure tools for automating routine database administration tasks
- Monitor performance statistics, generate insightful reports, and identify performance bottlenecks
- Work across various DBMS platforms, including Microsoft SQL/Express, MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, providing recommended solutions and corrective actions
