Overview
Our client is seeking a Database Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the data resident in the DFC track database is accurate, including running scheduled deletions, fusing data, and resolving ambiguities. You will have previous experience in Common Tactical Picture (CTP)/ Common Operating Picture (COP) operations and will be responsible for all aspects of database management, including planned server maintenance.

Location: This role is based in Bungendore, New South Wales.
Contract terms: Initially 3 months + 1x12 month extension available.
Security Requirements: Candidates require Australian citizenship along with an active NV2 security clearance (or ability to obtain). Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification, and any other client requested checks.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for data base operations
- Manage COP and Tactical Data Link (TDL) interface systems as per direction
- Operate and manage COP systems and applications while monitoring communications, track data flow, and overall functioning of the database
- Maintain COP configuration
- Manage COP Synchronisation Tool (CST) connectivity and required network channels for the distribution of COP Data
- Execute COP Track Data Base Management IAW OPTASK COP and SOPs
- Produce products for COP users
- Manage the input and update of Air Tasking Orders and overlays as directed
- Facilitate COP visualisation on the JOR display
- Coordinate with TDL Manager on any TDL track Management issues
- Troubleshoot any COP system and architecture connectivity issues
Technical skills
- Previous experience with COP/CTP/JDN operations and GCCS COP system user is highly regarded.
