About the role:
An opportunity exists for an EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) Engineer to join a project for one of the Big 4 banks.
As an EDW Engineer, you will contribute to designing, building, and optimizing data integration and reporting solutions using Teradata. The role focuses on enabling reliable data delivery for reporting, regulatory, and operational needs.

About the role:
An opportunity exists for an EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) Engineer to join a project for one of the Big 4 banks.
As an EDW Engineer, you will contribute to designing, building, and optimizing data integration and reporting solutions using Teradata. The role focuses on enabling reliable data delivery for reporting, regulatory, and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop ETL/ELT jobs in Teradata using BTEQ, SQL, and utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT)
- Design and enhance data models and data marts within the EDW environment
- Support data provisioning for downstream reporting tools and data consumers
- Troubleshoot and optimize performance of Teradata queries and load processes
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and other engineering teams
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in Teradata (Vantage preferred) – SQL, BTEQ, Utilities
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling
- Solid understanding of ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, or similar)
- Proficient in performance tuning and workload management on Teradata
- Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M) and version control (Git)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in banking/financial services data ecosystems
- Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Exposure to data governance and metadata tools
- Agile delivery experience
