Seeking a Full Stack Developer with experience delivering solutions using the AWS platform (with a strong emphasis on serverless applications), experience with DevOps practices

An exciting opportunity exists for a Full Stack Developer, within Innovation and Digital Services. As part of the AI & Frontier Technologies team, you will contribute to the application of emerging technologies and innovative approaches to help further the agencies vision through the delivery of software systems.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience as a software developer, delivering production capabilities as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will play an important role in writing and delivering software components alongside other software developers and machine learning engineers to provide important capability to the department and its customers. The ideal candidate will have proven experience with Agile delivery practices, experience delivering solutions using the AWS platform (with a strong emphasis on serverless applications), experience with DevOps practices, the ability to work autonomously under broad direction, and excellent communication skills.
Experience with the following technologies is essential:
Software Development:
1. • Extensive experience in developing solutions using JavaScript / TypeScript, ideally the Vue.js framework. - 40%
2. • Experience developing and maintaining solutions using Python. • Experience implementing DevOps practices with CI/CD tools (ideally Jenkins). - 40%
3. • Relevant ICT qualifications and certifications. - 20%
Desirable criteria
1. • Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK) • AWS (particularly Serverless application delivery) • Effective communication skills with ability to explain or translate complex systems to business stakeholders.
Contract: 12 Months Contract with 2 x 12 months extension options
Security Required: Must have a Baseline Security Clearance required
Location - ACT, NSW, QLD, VIC and Hybrid
