Our large government department client is seeking an Intelligence Analyst to conduct project work as they recognise the importance of understanding the changing nature of warfare, including the ways in which civilians are increasingly targeted, and how women and girls are disproportionally impacted by violent conflict and war.
Our client seeks to better understand how a strong commitment to the inclusion of the principles of Gender Peace and Security can enhance these relationships and establish greater access and influence, contributing to achievement of campaign objectives.

Whilst there are no mandatory prerequisite qualifications for this position, applicants with the following qualifications and experience will be viewed favourably:
Location of work: Bungendore, NSW
Contract term: 12 months
Extension Option: The Commonwealth may seek to extend the contract by up to two (2) x 12 month periods.
Security Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, the client requires a Security Clearance of TSPV.

Skills and Knowledge required / Major Responsibilities:
Services will be conducted as part of a team and will consist of, but are not limited to:
- In conjunction with staff, conducting all-source analysis on the human dimension of operational activities, particularly focused on women, peace, security, gender and culture.
- Production of intelligence reports, independently or in collaboration with other analysts, on regional and global areas of interest to the whole-of-government activities.
- Contributing to reviewing, refining and developing gender and cultural policy advice to guide and support intelligence assessment and activity by our client and assigned force elements,
- Engaging with stakeholders to define gender and cultural-related aspects during the planning and evaluation of operational activities,
- Advise staff and planners on gender and cultural aspects of operational activities, intelligence assessment and plans.
Whilst there are no mandatory prerequisite qualifications for this position, applicants with the following qualifications and experience will be viewed favourably:
- Prior experience or qualification in the conduct of intelligence analysis and assessment,
- Demonstrated ability to produce intelligence reports and product,
- Experience, formal qualifications, or an academic background in gender studies, demographics, sociology, cultural studies or similar gender-cultural related fields.
