Background
The Corporate and Governance Section operates within the Information Technology Branch and are the primary owners and administrators of all corporate IT responsibilities, including procurement, contract management, resourcing, governance, financial management, and processing/invoice payment.
Job Description: The IT Resource Officer is required to fulfil an identified business requirement for a dedicated technical officer to facilitate the functional operation of recruitment and resourcing activities within the Department’s IT Branch. The role occupant will contribute to corporate outcomes in improving IT business processes through effect resource management, coordinating strategic IT resource and recruitment, and streamlining existing process fragmentation and inefficiency. The primary objective of the role will be to effectively conduct resource management through established processes and procedures, and assisting ITB staff in the finalisation of all non-procurement recruitment and resourcing of the IT Branch on behalf of the Corporate and Governance Section.
Necessary Experience/Qualifications: The IT Resource Manager is expected to maintain and demonstrate strong resource management, recruitment, coordination, communication, and interpersonal communication capabilities. As the role is equally focused on both administration and stakeholder liaison, the successful occupant will be a great cultural fit within the Department, with a demeanour that is friendly, approachable, flexible, and reliable. Qualifications in relevant disciplines of communications and human resource management are considered desirable, but not necessary.
Contract Terms - the successful applicant to be offered roles as non-ongoing APS officers for a period of six months with further engagement subject to internal approval and ongoing performance.
Security Requirements - Applicants must be Australian Citizens to apply. A baseline security clearance is preferred or the ability to obtain.
