About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ITSM Service Manager to join a dynamic project team responsible for delivering and supporting IT tools and services across the organisation. This role will be embedded within the Project Controls Team (PCT), providing specialist IT Service Management (ITSM) expertise aligned with ITIL v4 best practices.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: 12 months from commencement date, plus 2x 12 extensions at our clients discretion.
Security Requirements: This position requires a minimum NV1 security clearance, but and active or reactivatable TSPV clearance is strongly preferred. If the candidate does not hold a TSPV clearance, they must be willing to undergo the TSPV uplift upon commencement of the role.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ITSM Service Manager to join a dynamic project team responsible for delivering and supporting IT tools and services across the organisation. This role will be embedded within the Project Controls Team (PCT), providing specialist IT Service Management (ITSM) expertise aligned with ITIL v4 best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing ITSM documentation, processes, and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with internal standards and security policies.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across Defence and the agency.
- Preparing high-level reports and presentations for executive stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 5+ years of experience in ITSM and service delivery, ideally within a Defence or secure government environment.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of ITIL v4.
- Proven ability to lead business process improvements and manage technology services.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience in continual service improvement and analytical problem-solving.
- A long-term contract opportunity with potential extensions.
- Work on nationally significant projects in a secure, high-impact environment.
- Flexible working arrangements (subject to supervisor approval).
