Are you a seasoned infrastructure architect ready to lead the design and delivery of secure, complex environments for a high-impact Defence program?
We’re seeking a Lead Architect to join a major Defence project in Canberra. You’ll be working with a global technology leader renowned for delivering secure, enterprise-scale solutions across government and Defence sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical architecture for multi-data centre environments
- Design and document secure, scalable network, compute, and storage solutions
- Align solutions with Defence and industry frameworks (TOGAF, DoDAF)
- Manage stakeholder engagement and technical governance
- Drive technology roadmaps and support in-service systems
- 15+ years in IT, with 10+ years in on-premise architecture
- 5+ years leading Agile/DevSecOps teams
- Deep expertise in:
- Cisco enterprise networking (WAN, SDN, ACI)
- VMware NSX-T, Juniper, DMVPN
- Disaster recovery and active-active data centre design
- Network and security architecture
- Strong understanding of subnets, VLANs, and storage solutions
- Practitioner-level knowledge of TOGAF or DoDAF
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools
- Windows Server 2016/2019 knowledge
- Familiarity with Dell, Cisco, VMware, Microsoft infrastructure technologies
- Background in programming and orchestration
- Work on a nationally significant Defence program
