We’re a locally owned recycling operation based in Canberra, specialising in the processing and recycling of construction and demolition waste. Our site features a range of heavy machinery and equipment including crushers, screens, excavators, and loaders, all working together to transform waste into valuable recycled products.
About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Administration Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent school leaver or someone early in their career who’s keen to build a strong foundation in business administration.
You’ll be supporting various departments, gaining hands-on experience with industry-specific systems, and receiving on-the-job training to help you grow professionally. If you’re organised, enjoy variety, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Work Type: Permanent position
Location: Canberra
Annual Salary: Up to $70,000 plus Super (dependant on experience)
Security Requirements: Must be an Australian Citizen

Responsibilities
- General admin duties: data entry, scanning, printing, filing and archiving
- Preparing meeting agendas, toolbox talks and safety minutes
- Managing incoming/outgoing correspondence including dockets, mail and emails
- Ordering and stocktaking PPE, uniforms and safety gear
- Receiving and reconciling deliveries; raising purchase orders
- Monitoring staff attendance and updating timesheets
- Maintaining records of qualifications and licences
- Providing basic IT support for staff
- Greeting visitors and handling phone enquiries
- Assisting accounts and weighbridge operations when needed
- A team player who can also work independently
- Confident communicator with a professional attitude
- Detail-oriented and well-organised
- Eager to learn and grow
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, SharePoint, Excel) is a plus
- Current Driver’s Licence
