Physical Security Technician – Genetec, Honeywell & Access Control

Our client is a leading organisation focused on delivering robust physical security solutions for enterprise environments. This role is vital in supporting, configuring, and maintaining advanced access control and video systems.
About the role:
We are seeking a Physical Security Technician to provide hands-on support for Genetec, Honeywell EBI, and Traka Locker Management systems. You’ll troubleshoot, configure, and upgrade security applications, ensuring seamless integration and high system availability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Configure and troubleshoot Genetec video and Honeywell EBI access control systems, including integration with Traka Locker Management.
• Support application and database upgrades, as well as server migrations.
• Manage incidents, changes, and problems following ITIL processes.
• Test, programme, and troubleshoot access control and digital video systems.
• Perform configuration reviews and support proof-of-concept integrations.
• Provide technical support to customers and technicians, including shift and weekend work as required.
Required Experience:
• Strong knowledge of physical security systems, digital IP cameras, and security devices.
• Experience with Genetec, Honeywell EBI, and Traka Locker Management systems.
• Hands-on expertise in Windows Server Administration and SQL.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and enterprise system architecture.
• Experience working in shift patterns and providing weekend support.
Desirable Skills:
• ITIL certification or strong process awareness.
• Experience with DevOps concepts.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
What’s on offer?
