About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to join our team at RAAF Base Williamtown. In this role, you will lead a team and oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of products, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and delivering exceptional value.
Key responsibilities include managing product roadmaps, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving project execution to meet deadlines and budgetary goals. You will utilize your expertise in product and project management to conduct comprehensive cost analyses, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial performance. Proficiency in commercial contract management is essential, as you will negotiate and manage contracts with stakeholders to ensure compliance and favourable outcomes.
Strong stakeholder communication skills are crucial, as you will engage with internal and external partners, providing clear updates and fostering collaboration to achieve shared goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in product management, project leadership, and a deep understanding of cost analysis and contract management. Key responsibilities will include:
- Perform complex planning and execution of the Plan to assure delivery of fit for purpose including management of project/product scope, schedules, risks, budgets and resources.
- Support the Capability Manager with the development and progression of project/product submissions in accordance with Capability System requirements, eg. gates, reviews, committees.
- Fundamental Input to Capability (FIC) integration and co-ordination through high stakeholder engagement and strong relationships.
- Develop, update and maintain required project/product documentation required to govern the project/product, eg. iPMP.
- Undertake required Project/Product reporting using applicable management systems, eg. PPRIP, SPMS.
- Undertake Risk, Issue and Opportunity identification and management.
- Provision of SME guidance /mentoring to Project/Product team members.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Governance of the SPO’s business and achievement of objectives/milestones is actioned.
- Contribute to the achievement of project and product objectives/milestones.
- SPO personnel are engaged and reasonably aware of their Project/Product Management responsibilities.
- The project/product plan is executed to ensure project/product outcomes within cost, schedule and quality thresholds to meet service capability needs as detailed in MAA/MSA PdS.
