PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR
The Program Administrator will be primarily responsible for providing administrative support for project activity across the Department. The role will respond to enquiries and support project staff in booking stakeholder meetings and workshops, taking minutes, facilitating information transfer between project staff, generating reports and sourcing resources as required.
Job Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Program Coordinator, the Program Administrator will:
1. Support the Program Management Office with administrative support, including receiving
and responding to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
2. Distribute project information and reporting to project stakeholders and the Executive.
3. Provide administrative support for project activity, including the sourcing of resources,
booking of project meetings and workshops, taking minutes, recording actions, risks and
issues on registers and receive and record consultative feedback.
4. Contribute to the development of policies, frameworks and strategies in the project
environment to ensure quality practice underpins project activity.
5. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external
stakeholders to support project activity across the Department.
WHAT YOU REQUIRE
The following capabilities form the criteria that are required to perform the duties and
responsibilities of the position.
Professional / Technical Skills and Knowledge
1. Experience or the ability to undertake administrative support activities, including the
ability to source resources and provide meeting support.
2. Awareness of Government policies and processes in relation to corporate governance
and records management, particularly in relation to disseminating and storing
information.
3. Ability to communicate clearly, including the ability to write in a formal and government
style.
Behavioural Capabilities
1. The ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and
stakeholders, and the ability to deliver high quality customer service.
2. Sound organisational skills, including the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks,
determine priorities and demonstrate resilience in high pressure situations.
3. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously.
Compliance Requirements/Qualifications
1. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Police check.
2. This position requires a pre-employment medical.
Location: Canberra
Contract Term: 5 months
