Seeking a Project Manager with 5+ Years experience in leading and managing ICT projects from inception to completion

The Department requires Project Managers for several ICT projects. The successful candidate will take a lead role working closely with project, technical and executive stakeholders to deliver across business, technical, infrastructure and services. They will also assist in developing strategic roadmaps to support executive decision making.
Key duties and responsibilities
The Project Manager will specifically undertake will the following, but is not limited:
1. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage ICT projects from inception to completion, with a track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
2. Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing diverse project teams, and experience managing cross-functional teams and working with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
3. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate risks, identify solutions, overcome challenges and the ability to think strategically and align project goals with business objectives.
4. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment.
5. In-depth knowledge and practical experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, PRINCE2, MSP. A strong understanding of project governance, risk management practices, and financial management.
Desirable criteria
1. 5 years experience as a project manager
Contract: Contract until 30 June 2026 with 1 x 12 months extension options
Security Required: NV1 Security Clearance required
Location - Canberra Based- Hybrid - the successful candidate will work on site, however flexible working arrangements may be considered and agreed upon request.

- Development, management and tracking of the project schedule
- Monitor and control the project budget
- Management of team members and activities
- Actively manage project risks
- Comply with project management standards
- Produce reports and support for project control and governance
