Project Manager – Data Platforms
Location:Sydney
Contract: 6 months with likely extensions
Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams for Data initiatives
- Manage project plan, budget, schedule, and staffing
- Ensure project scope, cost, and deliverables are met
- Bridge between client stakeholders and Agile development team
- Align Agile team outputs with client service strategy
- Balance quality, benefits, risk, budget, and timelines
- Define product requirements and write epics, features, and stories
- Maintain Non-functional Requirements (NFRs) for standards compliance
- Support team and collaborate with Scrum Master
- Mentor junior consultants
- 10+ years in project management or similar roles in IT Consulting
- 3+ years managing data projects (modernisation, migration, governance, etc.)
- Experience with Azure Synapse
- Skilled in Project Planning, Budgeting, Performance Management, and Risk Management
- Understanding of data professional roles and business-critical design
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, IBM)
- Knowledge of containerisation, virtualisation, infrastructure, and networking
- Familiarity with software development life cycle and methodologies
- Strong presentation and stakeholder influence skills
- Experience in Banking required
- Leadership and people management skills
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields
- Relevant technology or project delivery certifications
- Must have full Australian work rights
