Talented and detail orientated Systems Administrators are required for maintenance and integration of ICT infrastructure and security systems across the full lifecycle of systems. You will work closely with the product owner, along with other system administrators in a fast paced, secure environment.

Location: The role can be based in either Canberra, Brisbane OR Melbourne
Contract term: 12 months, part-time engagements will not be considered.
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 3
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered. Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification and any other client requested checks.

Major Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of a complex ICT environment containing both Windows and Linux based systems.
- Contribute to the provisioning, support and maintenance of Storage Area Network (SAN) appliance, physical and virtual server infrastructure and a small fleet of desktops.
- Ensure the reliability of the system by using standard procedures and tools to carry out defined system configuration, backups, and restoring data where necessary. This includes the use of network management tools to collect and report on network load and performance statistics.
- Ensure incidents, problems and changes are captured and responded to within the IT service management platform. This includes administration of accounts and permissions.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience in administering a secure and reliable Linux and/or Windows ICT environment
- Data processing, scripting and coding skills, specifically in Bash, XSLT, PowerShell, Python or C. (desirable)
- Experience in administering virtual machine systems, particularly Red Hat (desirable)
