About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced API Technical Lead to lead the end-to-end delivery of a critical program. This role involves engaging with business stakeholders to finalize Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), interface documentation, and drive robust API development. You will work closely with business teams to determine functional requirements, collaborate with technical leads for reviews and sign-offs, and operate within an Agile team structure to document and communicate changes effectively.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in documenting API requirements, designing scalable and secure interfaces, and integrating diverse systems and technologies. You will also support and collaborate with internal and external consultants during workshops and delivery engagements. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end delivery of API programs.
- Attend requirement discussions with business stakeholders to finalize FSDs and interface documents.
- Work with business teams to determine functional requirements for new services.
- Collaborate with tech leads and stakeholders for reviews and sign-offs.
- Operate within an Agile team structure to document and communicate changes.
- Document API requirements, design, and functional specifications.
- Design and create robust interfaces to integrate various systems and technologies.
- Meet with development teams to discuss user interface ideas and applications.
- Support and collaborate with internal/external consultants in consulting, workshops, and delivery engagements.
Key Requirements:
To ensure success in this role, you will possess the following skills:
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Framework 5.x, Spring Boot 2.x, JUnit 5, Mockito, and Java-based logging frameworks.
- Experience using Postman and any modern IDE.
- Infra/DevOps design experience.
- Familiarity with Maven, Git, Splunk, Bamboo, Swagger, and design patterns/standards.
- Proven experience in delivering API frameworks.
- Must have experience working on banking projects.
- Strong debugging skills and clean, efficient coding practices with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Proactive in remediating software issues related to code quality, security, and framework compliance.
- Ability to mentor junior consultants in practice and delivery engagements.
