The Role:
The Department require several further senior ICT technician to join the Infrastructure Architecture and Build Team, within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer.
The Infrastructure Build Team are required to design, build, deploy, document, transition and assist with supporting production infrastructure solutions.
The resources will be responsible for delivering technical projects that enable innovation, improve departmental ICT stability, security and compliance.
The successful candidate will have a broad range of generalist skills, and will be able to work collaboratively with business, other system owners and administrators to progress initiatives.

Skills and Experience Required:
The successful candidate will possess some or all of the following skills, knowledge and experience:
• Demonstrated capability to scope, plan and execute on small projects – including managing, risks and issues, approvals and the balancing of multiple competing priorities.
• Demonstrated capability to work within a high-performing multi-disciplinary team, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• A working knowledge of the Information Security Manual (ISM), the Protective Security Framework Policy (PSFP), and other International Standards (ISO’s).
• Solid generalist skills in Windows – including configuration, trouble shooting, service and security management tools.
• The resource will demonstrate advanced skills in some or most of the following technologies:
o Physical and virtual infrastructure – HPE, Nutanix, Dell VMware VSphere
o Cloud technologies – Microsoft Azure, O365, cloud hosted SaaS applications
o Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, and Group Policy
o Automation and scripting languages – including Powershell
o Cyber Security – across networking, Essential 8, OS and application hardening, vulnerability detection tools
o MS based communication and collaboration tools – Exchange, Skype, Teams
o Storage – Dell EMC
o Microsoft SQL Server Design and Administration
Contract Term - Immediate start and contract till 30 June 2020. Contract extension options up to 2 years pending budget and delegate approval
Security Requirements - Applicants must be Australian Citizens. A NV1 security clearance is required (NV2 preferred)
