The Role:
The Senior Integration Developer will be responsible for:
• Collaborate with business and technical SMEs to capture the requirements of integration services.
• Detailed design of integration services, including interface specifications based on approved integration patterns.
• Development and testing of integration services.
• Configure tests and deployments on a continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tool.
• Support integration, performance and security testing of the integration services.

• Configure and tune the integration platform to meet non-functional requirements.
• Provide initial support of integration services as they are deployed into production.
• Transitions integration services to a support team.
• Create and maintain a library of integration patterns that can be used to standardise and accelerate development of integration services.
• Suggest improvements to the platform, processes, tools and patterns.
• Mentor team members, other developers and business on the use of the integration platform and patterns.
• Actively participate in communities of practice.
• Comply with all work, health and safety policies and procedures, and take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of employees, contractors and visitors who may be affected by your conduct.
• Commitment to APS Values, Employment Principles, Code of Conduct and the Social Justice Strategy.
• Provide initial support of integration services as they are deployed into production.
• Transitions integration services to a support team.

Skills and Experience Required:
Mandatory
• 5 years of development experience in the application integration domain.
• Deep practical experience with market-leading integration technologies.
• An ability to provide support and guidance to team members and other staff.
• Technical experience with the following skill sets:
o Integration Services such as RESTful APIs or Web Services
o Integrating legacy systems using TCP protocols
o File Transfers such as FTP and SFTP
o Message Queueing using JMS, AMQP or MQTT protocols
o Querying and inserting records into Databases
o Data transformations of a variety of formats e.g. CSV, Text, XML and JSON
o Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns
Desirable
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum.
• Experience working in a DevOps CI/CD environment.
• Experience and understanding of microservices architecture
**Please note that this is a Melbourne based role**
Contract Term - Approx start date of 13 May 2019 with contract till 30 June 2020. 1 x 1 year extension option pending budget and delegate approval
