Overview:
The Software Developer will be responsible for developing software, integrating Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and Government Off the Shelf (GOTS) software, documenting technical processes and assisting with testing and deployment. This role will need very high level software development skills and a proven ability to work within an integrated team of technical/non-technical personnel.
The program of work has multiple projects which range in size where you may be required to work across one or more of these projects.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: to 30 June 2024, with 2x12 month extensions available.
SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered.

Major Responsibilities:
- Takes responsibility for the development of software using a variety of software languages and development environments, to ensure it meets business requirements.
- Deliver scripting using a variety of languages (e.g. javascript) and secondary skills (e.g. SQL).
- Lead the development of software that supports high quality User Experience outcomes.
- Adhere to and improve software engineering processes.
- Contribute to and support leadership efforts to improve engineering processes.
- Identify system interdependencies and liaise with other system stakeholders to resolve conflict and coordinate integrated solutions.
