About the Role
As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing secure, user-focused solution architectures and high-level system designs that align with cyber security standards and enterprise architecture principles. You’ll lead technical design reviews, produce architectural blueprints, and work closely with engineers and governance committees to ensure successful implementation. This role requires hands-on involvement throughout the delivery lifecycle and a strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT
Contract terms: 24 months from commencement date, plus potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 5.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered. An OSA (Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.

- Developing and maintaining architectural documentation and blueprints
- Leading design reviews and approval processes
- Communicating design decisions across technical and non-technical teams
- Supporting project delivery to ensure alignment with architectural standards
You’ll bring a strong background in secure solution design and enterprise architecture, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams. Your experience should include:
- Enterprise Architecture & Design Patterns – deep understanding of architectural frameworks
- Cloud Architecture – hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
- System Integration – ability to design interoperable solutions across diverse platforms
- Security Architecture – knowledge of secure design practices and risk mitigation
- Communication Skills – ability to present complex ideas clearly to varied audiences
