About the Role
As a Technical Change Manager, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and managing technical changes across IT systems and services. Your role will ensure changes are implemented smoothly, with minimal disruption to operations, and in alignment with established change management processes. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to communicate change impacts, manage scheduling, and oversee execution and post-implementation reviews.

Location: The role is based in Canberra ACT
Contract terms: 24 months from commencement date, plus potential extensions
SFIA level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes of SFIA Level of Responsibility 4.
Security Requirements: Current Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance is strongly preferred, however candidates who have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded) may be considered. An OSA (Organisational Suitability Assessment) will be required for this position.

- Communicating technical intent, impact, and risk of proposed changes
- Scheduling and documenting changes in the official change calendar
- Preparing and distributing change plans and readiness steps
- Monitoring change execution and managing escalations
- Conducting post-implementation reviews and driving continuous improvement
You’ll bring a strong understanding of change management frameworks and excellent communication skills to engage both technical and business stakeholders. Your experience should include:
- Change Management – familiarity with ITIL and DCAM frameworks
- Incident & Problem Management – awareness of principles and practices
- Stakeholder Engagement – ability to communicate effectively across teams
- Analytical Thinking – strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Continuous Improvement – experience with post-implementation reviews
