Multiple Technical Writer positions available with one of our government clients.
Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain Baseline
Location: ACT, QLD, SA
Contract Length: 10 months + 2x 12 month extensions
Close Date: Thursday 18th July 2024 – 9am
The Technical Writers will work under the limited direction of senior staff and will be distributed across the Division on a need’s basis. They will have extensive technical writing experience in the Information and Communication Technology field, along with exceptional stakeholder management skills.
This includes ensuring you understand the business you support, be confident in dealing with stakeholders of all levels, and be able to work autonomously in a demanding and transformative environment. The Technical Writer will collaborate and work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other key stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of the functionality of our products and services, then apply this knowledge into producing accurate, comprehensive, and consistent technical documentation ensuring the documents are controlled, organised and in line with compliance requirements.
Key duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Create clear, concise, and accurate technical documents such as o end-user manuals
o reference guides o operating procedure guides
o specialised product descriptions
• Research, write, update and maintain technical documentation that is accurate in description, clear in explanation and concise in content. Bringing together various pieces of information across different areas and translate into a consistent written communication style.
• Digest technical information and transform that into content suitable for delivery to a wide range of audiences and learning capabilities, whilst maintaining the required technical competency to be delivered.
