About the Role
Our client, focused on National Security, is looking for an Workforce Planner with Negative Vetting Level 1 or above for a 12-month contract (with extension options) to operate from their Canberra location.
The successful candidate will work as a Workforce Planner who will develop policies, guidelines and strategies related to the management of an organisation's workforce. They identify, analyse and monitor the current and future workforce needs of an organisation and develop strategies to close the gap between the two states.

The successful candidate will work as a Workforce Planner who will develop policies, guidelines and strategies related to the management of an organisation's workforce. They identify, analyse and monitor the current and future workforce needs of an organisation and develop strategies to close the gap between the two states.
Key duties:
- Workforce Planning Framework: support to embed and refine the agency’s tranche 2 resource planning framework targeted at Branch managers outlining the planning process, including key metrics, data sources, analysis methodologies, and decision-making criteria.
- Demand and Supply Forecasting Model: Create a robust supply/demand forecasting model incorporating historical data, business trends, and external data (OSCA) to predict future workforce requirements in alignment with organisational objectives.
- Capability and Capacity Assessment: Conduct a thorough assessment of current workforce capacity/capability, including skills, competencies, and availability to identify gaps and surpluses.
