Background
The Corporate and Governance Section operates within the Information Technology Branch and are the primary owners and administrators of all corporate IT responsibilities, including procurement, contract management, resourcing, governance, financial management, and processing/invoice payment.
Job Description: The Assistant Director IT Contract Management is responsible for the ongoing, strategic management of the Department’s major ICT vendor contracts. Working with internal and external stakeholders, including the Department’s IT Procurement Team and General Counsel Branch, the role manages all aspects of vendor contracts including contract document quality control, post-execution performance and service level monitoring, regular reporting to the executive, dispute resolution, variation negotiation and productive vendor relationship management.
Necessary Experience/Qualifications: Experience managing complex ICT contracts and / or commercial contract law experience in a multi-vendor environment is highly desirable. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, a strong client focus and attention to detail are equally important qualities. An understanding of ICT in an enterprise environment and how it contributes to Departmental outcomes is also considered highly desirable.
Contract Terms - the successful applicant to be offered roles as non-ongoing APS officers for a period of six months with further engagement subject to internal approval and ongoing performance.
Security Requirements - Applicants must be Australian Citizens to apply. A baseline security clearance is preferred or the ability to obtain.
