Our Large Federal Government client has a requirement for a Business Analyst to support strategic projects focused on delivering program outcomes through digital and technological means.
This will include:
Contract terms: Contract term of 12 months, with two 12 month extension terms at the Commonwealth’s discretion.
Security Requirements: Current Negative Vetting (NV1) security clearance or have held a NV1 in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded)

This will include:
- Migration - assessing current systems or workloads, identifying dependencies, and devising migration strategies to seamlessly transition to new cloud capabilities while minimising disruption to business operations. This will involve applying the cloud adoption framework currently in development by the program to support areas across the enterprise;
- Operating model - collaborating with stakeholders to analyse business processes, define requirements, and design efficient operating models that leverage the potential of cloud technologies;
- Physical and technical implementation - engaging in detailed system analysis, interface with technical teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure the successful deployment of cloud solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Formal project management/business analysis qualifications or training (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, BABOK) or equivalent.
- 3 years experience as a Business Analyst or in a relevant role, demonstrating a solid foundation in business analysis practices.
- Undertake Planning, Analysis, and Execution: Demonstrated experience in planning, analysis, and execution of assigned work packages under the general direction of project leadership, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project goals.
- Experience with Cloud Technologies and/or Government Projects: Possesses experience working with cloud technologies and/or government projects, demonstrating familiarity with relevant frameworks, regulations, and best practices.
- Proactive and Self-Motivated: Exhibits proactive and self-motivated behaviour with a strong work ethic, taking initiative to drive projects forward and deliver high-quality results independently.
- In-depth Analysis and Documentation: Demonstrated experience in undertaking in-depth analysis and documentation of business requirements, stakeholder needs, and technical feasibility.
- Highly Organised and Outcome-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to effortlessly adapt to shifting priorities and deliver results within specified timelines.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Demonstrated well-developed verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write clear, concise, and compelling documentation and engage stakeholders with confidence and enthusiasm.
- Ability to Bridge Technical and Non-Technical Audiences: Demonstrated proficiency in synthesising complex information and effectively communicating it to diverse stakeholders, ensuring alignment and understanding
- Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated strong analytical skills in synthesizing complex information, identifying patterns, and drawing insightful connect
