This is a contract role based in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney, or Adelaide, commencing as soon as available. You’ll work on high-impact federal government digital initiatives in a collaborative, agile environment.

About the role:
We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in API development, cloud infrastructure, and modern front-end frameworks. You’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components, deploying containerised applications, and ensuring accessibility and performance across platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build complex APIs using Golang and JavaScript/TypeScript with REST and GraphQL.
- Develop accessible web applications using React and TypeScript (WCAG 2.1 compliance).
- Deploy containerised applications using Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
- Write Infrastructure as Code using Terraform on AWS.
- Create CI/CD pipelines using GitHub/GitLab, Artifactory, and HashiCorp Vault.
- Write unit, integration, and functional tests; collaborate with QA teams.
- Manage Postgres and MySQL database deployment and administration.
- Contribute across the SDLC: design, development, code reviews, and maintenance.
- Strong experience in full stack development and API architecture.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and Terraform.
- Expertise in DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling.
- Proven ability to deliver accessible, scalable web applications.
- Experience in database management and system testing.
- Experience with Angular and mobile app development (React Native or similar).
- Strong ownership, adaptability, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Prior experience in government or public sector environments.
- Australian Citizenship.
- Baseline or NV-1 Government Security Clearance.
