Overview
The Mechanical Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing a range of mechanical engineering projects at the ore processing facility at Christmas Creek. This role encompasses the oversight of project design, implementation, and completion, ensuring that all projects meet the required standards and are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. The Mechanical Project Manager will work closely with all stakeholders to ensure project success.

Overview
The Mechanical Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing a range of mechanical engineering projects at the ore processing facility at Christmas Creek. This role encompasses the oversight of project design, implementation, and completion, ensuring that all projects meet the required standards and are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. The Mechanical Project Manager will work closely with all stakeholders to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee the project scope, plan, and objectives, ensuring alignment with business goals
- Lead the planning, budgeting, and allocation of resources for engineering projects related to the ore processing facility
- Manage and coordinate all phases of project life cycles, from concept through planning, execution, and closeout
- Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems and machinery within the facility
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including mine operations, maintenance, and external contractors, to ensure project integration and success
- Monitor project progress, manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Prepare reports and documentation for project stakeholders and senior management, highlighting progress, risks, and issues
- Facilitate communication and resolve conflicts within the project team and with stakeholders.
- Cost Tracking, forecasting expenditure throughout project lifecycle
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project risks
Qualifications:
- Qualified Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng) certification or equivalent
- Project management experience or diploma in Project management
- Proven ability to manage large-scale engineering projects from conception to completion
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, materials handling, and process engineering in a mining context
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Ability to work in a challenging environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in SAP (Intricate Level)
- Proficiency in data Analysis and reporting tools, with the ability to extract insights and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and solve complex issues in a fast-paced environment
