Our client, a large government department is seeking a Microsoft Engineer (Exchange) and Microsoft Engineer (SOE) to join their existing team.
As the successful candidate you will meet the following criteria:
Length of contract: 12 months
Contract Extensions: 2 x 12 months
Security clearance: Must have Negative Vetting Level 1. Successful applicants are required to undertake an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) during the first year of their engagement.

As the successful candidate you will meet the following criteria:
- Proficient knowledge over a wide range of Microsoft’s products and integration with other COTS products.
- Extensive Enterprise Windows Server - design, deploy, configure large installations.
- Experience managing server workloads on virtual platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, or equivalent hybrid cloud solutions, and administering one or more third party COTS integration products.
- Extensive experience in building and deploying corporate SOE and application packaging using SCCM and/or other MDT tools.
- Experience in administering Active Directory, DFS, DNS, DCHP
- Experience in applying a security first design approach for implementing changes to existing or newly designed systems.
- Experience in the design and implementation of best practice solutions in alignment with the whole of government cyber security overlay and compliance with the Essential 8
- Extensive experience in delivering capability utilising the systems engineering lifecycle and/or DevOps and Identify, document, and resolve issues and/or problems that arise during the course of capability development projects.
- Provide input and advice to internal system reviews and mandated system reviews in accordance with Project Design Authority requirements.
- Experience in complex ICT projects is desirable.
- Display excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform work at a high standard with excellent quality standards and quality control measures.
- Strong administrative and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise and allocate tasks.
- A proven ability to work as a member of an integrated team. Experience and willingness to provide mentoring and coaching to junior personnel.
