Skills and Experience:
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Oracle-based applications for utility clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs.
- Develop and maintain MDMS applications using Oracle technologies such as Oracle Database, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports.
- Write high-quality, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing applications.
- Work with the QA team to ensure thorough testing of applications.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Stay updated with new technologies and trends in Oracle development.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Oracle development, with a focus on MDMS.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database, Oracle Forms, and Oracle Reports.
- Functional knowledge and experience with MDMS.
- Proficient in PL/SQL, SQL, and Java programming.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management System (MDMS).
- Knowledge of utility industry standards and regulations.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Oracle Cloud.
- Certification in Oracle development (e.g., OCP, OCM).
Location and Contract Term:
- Melbourne, Victoria
- 7-month initial contract with Likely extension.
Security Requirements: Full working rights & the ability to obtain an Australian police check.
